McGINLEY VINEYARD
McGinley vineyard, formerly known as the Westerly Vineyard, is located 2 miles north of Lake Cachuma in the Upper Santa Ynez Valley of Santa Barbara County. The vineyard sits 37 miles east of the Pacific Ocean on a series of smooth, bench-like terraces that are broken by narrow, steep-sided drainageways. At 800 feet elevation this vineyard enjoys a southeastern exposure making it one of Santa Barbara County's warmest terroirs. In addition to a Paso Robles-like climate one is impressed with Westerly's rocky brown soils. Identified as "Positas fine sandy loam," this well-drained, cobbly soil is underlain by a reddish-brown gravelly clay at 20 to 26 inches. We currently have 3.5 acres of Syrah under contract here--0.5 acres of Clone 383, 1 acre of Clone 99 and 2 acres of Clone 7..
THOMPSON VINEYARD
Thompson vineyard is located southeast of Los Alamos on Alisos Canyon Road in Santa Barbara County. Owned by David Thompson this vineyard was originally planted by Jeff Newton in 1991. More importantly, Jeff Newton manages and cares for the vineyard today. The vines are planted 10' by 5' (871 vines per acre). The soil is a sandy clay loam. Elevation is approximately 900 feet. Thompson has a very cool microclimate similar to White Hawk with Syrah ripening in November.
THREE CREEK VINEYARD
Three Creek Vineyard is a 25 acre vineyard which lies in the Happy Canyon region of the Santa Ynez Valley. The warm south facing slopes of this rocky terrain are ideally suited to red wines, especially the Rhone varietals. The vineyard was planted in two stages with the following varietals - syrah, sangiovese and cabernet franc followed by cabernet sauvignon, petit verdot and malbec.
The Vineyard is farmed using organic methods. This labor intensive and careful farming allows us to purchase grapes of the highest quality.

BRAVE OAK VINEYARD
Brave Oak Vineyard is located due east of Hearst Castle approximately 36 miles from the Pacific Ocean. Exactly 4 miles north of Highway 46 East this 11 acre vineyard is named for a solitary grandfather coastal live oak braving the extreme weather over the last two centuries. This family owned vineyard is farmed by Tony Domingos, a young grower seeking to make a name for himself on the rolling plains of Paso Robles. Andrew Murray Vineyard’s block at Brave Oak is planted to the Estrella clone of Syrah on 1103P, a rootstock regarded for both its limestone and drought tolerance. These dark grayish brown, well drained and very calcareous soils are defined as "Nacimiento clay loam." These shale based soils are remarkable for their high pH weathered limestone subsoils. Elevation is 840 feet above sea level giving an impressive view to the north.
STOLPMAN VINEYARD
The vineyards at the Stolpman estate enjoy the warm days and cool nights of Ballard Canyon, which lies 25 miles from the Pacific Ocean in Santa Barbara County, on California’s Central Coast. The combination of climate, southern exposure, and limestone soils makes for a unique terroir suited to growing Syrah.
The first vines were planted at Stolpman in 1992 by Coastal Vineyard Care Associates, who continue to farm and develop the 220-acre estate. We currently have 1 acre of Syrah Clone 3 under contract..
WATCH HILL VINEYARD
Situated in the rolling hills outside of Los Alamos, this vineyard produces grapes rich in color and complex in flavor. We have approximately 2 acres of Syrah Clone 877 under contract. We love the intense fruity and spicy character we get of out this well managed, cool-climate vineyard.
