2022 BRAZEN

The 2022 Brazen represents the créme de la créme from Andrew Murray Vineyards.  A micro barrel production of just under 50 cases, this wine is a special blend of some of the best lots and barrels in our cellar. We threw out all of the blending rules in pursuit of a "Brazen" quest for delicious perfection. The result, a unique blend of Estate Grown Syrah and Petite Sirah. Impossibly dark and concentrated, it is also shamelessly pleasurable to drink. Brazen will age effortlessly for a decade and more, but if you find a decade too long, set the table, light the candles, grill up a succulent Filet Mignon and savor sip after sip of this decadent black beauty.

"Based on 70% Syrah and 30% Petite Sirah, the 2022 Brazen offers ripe red and black fruit, flowery incense, coffee, and herbal nuances. It's medium to full-bodied, round, and layered on the palate, with good acidity, ripe, velvety tannins, and outstanding length. The Petite Sirah component really changes the profile here, yet the Syrah comes through on the palate. I like it today, yet it should have a decade of longevity, if not longer.
