2019 SYRAH ESTATE LOT E

The 2019 Syrah Lot E is an especially dark, lurid, purple wine that hints of a very long life in the bottle. The primary fruit notes are of ripe red fruits like raspberry that are complexed with purple flowers. This wine is very reminiscent of a Cote Rotie with black and blue fruits, toasty oak, asphalt, and some peppery notes as well. In the mouth the wine is rich and full bodied with lots of baking spices alongside mature tannins. Though this wine is enjoyable today, it will be even better over the next 5-10 years.
